Thèmes de recherche
The interactions of climate and tectonics, especially in regard to the formation and degradation of orogens, is an active area of research and one which has far reaching implications for how we interpret the forces responsible for the dramatic geomorphology of ranges such as the Himalaya, Andes, and Cordillera of Western North America. My work focuses on understanding the paleoclimatic and neotectonic history of Plio-Pleistocene landscape development by using cosmogenic 10Be and 26Al to establish the rates of surface processes, such as erosion rates, as well as the chronology of geomorphic features.
